Hospice Group of Southern California

At-home nurses allow patients to remain at home safely and comfortably. They can provide most nursing services that you would receive in a nursing home or hospital, but they work entirely in the privacy of your home. When you or a loved one are nearing the end of life, you deserve personal care from a dedicated nurse who is committed to keeping you safe and comfortable.

The Hospice Group of Southern California works with a team of Registered Nurses (RN) who have specialized training in hospice care. We enjoy working with compassionate nurses with a sincere desire to keep our patients comfortable and at peace through the end of life.

Hospice at-home nurses are also sources of support and information for the caregivers and loved ones surrounding a terminally ill patient. They can answer basic questions about medications and daily care while providing some support and compassion when difficult emotions arise. Many loved ones are comforted by having a professional nurse in the home who can respond to critical situations as needed.

At-home nursing care is the perfect solution for patients who have delicate medical needs but prefer to stay in the comfort of their own homes rather than in a hospital or skilled nursing facility. An RN can help manage a variety of medical equipment and procedures, including:

  • Ventilators
  • Tracheostomy
  • Medication infusions
  • Feeding tubes
  • IV lines
  • Catheters

A nurse may also help turn a bedbound patient so that they don’t develop bedsores. They can provide some basic personal care services but are more focused on medical needs than grooming and housework.

The Hospice Group of Southern California also offers hospice home health services to take care of the non-medical needs that terminally ill patients in their homes. Our team can assess your needs and guide you in selecting the right type of care for each stage of the end of life.
